Eyewitness Travel - The Greek Islands

An excellent companion to the Lonely Planet book of Greek Islands which gives valuable access information. This one concentrates more on the tourist value of each island, the text and maps are much easier to read being printed to a better standard. Recommended to Grecophiles. John S

This is up to the very high standard that I have come to expect from DK. Would not visit anywhere without one!

This is a portable, soft cover, coffee-table book! It is beautifully crafted, with exquisite pictures, maps and diagrams of ancient buildings and modern towns. The book takes you on a cultural journey through the Greek islands and their histories. If you haven't visited Greece, it's a motivator. If you have, it brings back wonderful memories. This book is a broad sweep, you will need supplemental information, but it is unique in providing a visual overview of a beautiful and enchanting land!
Beauty hand in hand with information...

This quide is not only stunningly beautiful but full of general info as well: along with the Rough Guide, DK's is absolutely essential. No other guide has so much to show you - visually. It seems incredible that so many finely rendered photographs have been included - but they have! This book is a triumph over mediocrity: it bristles with colour and light and we can only get lost in the splendour of it all. Keith M Warwick
