Think about what would you include in your list of must-haves that will make your perfect holiday destination. Planety of sunshine, minimal chance of rain, warm comfortable temperatures, perfect sandy beaches, clear warm water, a large selection of apartments, many good restaurants and cafes, both lively and relaxing evening possible and within reach of a cheap flight from home. Sounds like a rare and unlikely dream destination, but many of the island of Zante (also known as Zakynthos) is just that. P> Zante is located just off the west coast of southern Greece, and have it, AOS place to thank for that, AOS year mild climate. Zante has been a favorite holiday destination for many Europeans since. Apart from its stunning beaches and beautiful villages Zante also has a couple of their own holiday attractions. Discovered in 1897, the Blue Caves known and is located on the northern tip of the island. Formed by the sea and so called because of the sparkling blue water that fills them, they are a frequent stop-off for tourists to explore the island. Transportation to the caves is by boat which can take around two hours for the full tour. Excursions are cheap and worth it. Those who have made the trip suggests choosing a small boat over a larger. This makes swimming stops more likely, and the boat is more likely to get deeper into the caves. It may be much larger water parks in other parts of Europe, Zante, AOS Water Park in Sarakinarda is perfect for a family day out. There are about ten different sites to play and visitors suggests arriving later in the day coach trips have left, and the prices are reduced. P> A nice way to spend a day at the Zante is to visit some of the smaller beaches and villages. Start of Gerakas at the southern tip of the island beach at Gerakas said to be one of the best on the island. The beach is a protected natural area as important nesting sites for birds in the vicinity. It is often deserted and makes a great place for a relaxing spell on the beach, but visitors are limited in length of stay. Farther up the coast lies the beach of Porto Roma. This is a quiet beach, but there is less sand here. What AOS not favored by water sports enthusiasts, so you Äôre sure of a quiet day here. For the most preferred beach in this area need look no further than the Banana Beach. It is big, clean and very sandy, with only a small line of pebbles flank the sea. There are many palm parasols available and the area is not over developed, but the choice of bars and cafes are adequate. P> For those planning to get away from the beaches and looking out a little more cultural capital of Zakynthos ticks many boxes. Situated on the coast and home to many cruise ships visiting the city also has some pretty internal areas, especially some interesting places, museums and churches. The city suffered an earthquake in 1953, and then areas should be rebuilt. Although the area did not experience frequent earthquakes recently in February 2009 a small earth quake that measures the Sept. 3 on the Richter scale was recorded just south of the island. Two days earlier another earthquake measuring March 4 was recorded on the island of Kefalonia. Don, let the AOT worry about when the town of Zakynthos is worth a visit. The hills around the city, offering spectacular views to all who wish to take them. Strani Heights is home to many old buildings and ruins of an old Venetian church, while the board with Bochali is home to a castle that was destroyed by earthquakes in 1953 and a more up-market part of town. Here you can find luxury hotels and restaurants, and large green areas. P> Zante retain its position as one of the best Greek islands, but that Hasna, AOT seemed to distract from its original charm and culture. P>
